Are you a newly qualified HGV Driver?
Are you looking to kickstart your career in the container industry? We warmly welcome drivers like you and offer an excellent training programme designed to pave your way to a full-time driving position.
To begin, you’ll work closely with our experienced driver trainer, who will guide you through essential topics such s digital tachographs, driver hours, and the working time directive. This crucial foundation will ensure you understand the regulatory aspects of the job and can operate within the required guidelines.
Next, you’ll receive hands-on training in our yard, focussing on essential skills like reversing, manoeuvring, and close proximity driving. Our skilled instructors will be there every step of the way, providing guidance and feedback to help you master these techniques.
Once you’ve gained confidence in the yard, you’ll be paired with a dedicated driver mentor who will accompany you on the road. Together you will tackle on-the-job challenges, such as customer interactions and port or depot operations.You’ll undergo regular assessments throughout the one-to-one training process to track your progress. These assessments will continue until you reach a level of proficiency where you’re ready to venture out on your own. Even then, you won’t be alone, our in-house driver trainer and your mentor will be available to provide on-the-job guidance whenever you need it.
